Initiated in 02/11/2018, IEEE-WIE PSIT has been striving to inspire and encourage students to work in technical as well as non-technical field for the welfare of women It aims to spread awareness and promoting women professionals and inspiring girls to excel and pursue their interest in the field of technology and science so their they can contribute to the benefit of humanity.

Mission Statement

  • This chapter has been organizing various technical and non technical workshops, myriad of competitions to encourage women to participate and showcase their talents .
  • To recognize women achivements through IEEE Awards nominations.
  • It also aims to promote women to enhance their leadership and management skills in the profession.

IEEE Women in Engineering Inspiring Member of The Year

The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group of the Year Awards are given annually to one IEEE WIE Affinity Group and one IEEE WIE Student Affinity Group that have shown outstanding leadership and initiative in organizing activities.

The purpose of this award is to recognize an undergraduate/graduate student member of IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) who has overcome barriers to pursue engineering has made a personal impact in their community

IEEE WIE Star

The STAR program represents all pre-university outreach activities. Since the formation of the STAR program in 1995, with the growth in IEEE WIE Affinity Groups, growth in IEEE WIE membership, collaborations with IEEE.

Affinity Group Opportunities

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) provides members with the opportunity to network at a local level through IEEE WIE affinity groups. Opportunities include coordinating events, mentoring, or serving as an officer.
